IT’S WORTH IT

I spoke to Tito Falguera, our Kids Pastor from Victory U-Belt, at our annual youth camp in Caliraya, Laguna. He told me about Jorel, a four-year-old boy who would faithfully attend Children’s Church week after week with his grandmother. About two months ago, he got very, very sick, and sadly, the Lord took him home at a very young age. At the funeral service, Pastor Tito spoke to Jorel’s mom, who had never been to church. She said she always heard Jorel sing, “One way, Jesus, You’re the only One that I could live for.”

That night, after Pastor Tito shared a message at the funeral, he gave everyone an opportunity to give their lives to Jesus. Guess who was one of the first ones to respond? Jorel’s mom! She got saved at her very own son’s funeral. She is now in church and growing in her faith in Christ.

Was it a sad circumstance? By all means.

Was it a blessed night? You bet.

Is Kids Ministry worth it? Absolutely!

The Bible says that the time will come when the wolf will live with the lamb, the leopard will lie down with the goat, the calf and the lion and the yearling together; and a little child will lead them (Isaiah 11:6). This time has truly come, for we are seeing children leading others to God.
