HOPE IN THE NEXT GENERATION

Are we still undeniably convinced that we have hope in the next generation?

My dad, who was a broadcaster for more than thirty years, asked me, “Is there still hope for this nation?” Without batting an eyelash, I said, “Yes, for it just takes one generation.”

Judges 2:10 says:
After that whole generation had been gathered to their fathers, another generation grew up, who knew neither the LORD nor what he had done for Israel.

As a result, the whole nation turned away from God. Conversely, if we disciple and train a new generation of world changers who will love God and hate sin, then in one generation, it is possible to see a nation turn around for God.

“All this will not be finished in the first 100 days.
Nor will it be finished in the first 1,000 days,
not in the life of this Administration,
nor even perhaps in our lifetime on this planet.
But let us begin . . .”—John F. Kennedy

Transformation may not happen in ten years. It may not happen in twenty. But at any rate, let’s begin.

Great blog, Kuya Pao.

It's always easier to just pinpoint things that have gone wrong or blame things (or people?) that could be better, but what's really needed is a fervent commitment to action that's LONG-TERM and far-reaching... That's what reaching the next generation is all about...

Thank you so much for the great reminder... :)
